Jose Mourinho Wants to Sign Real Madrid Forward Rodrygo for Fenerbahce – Report
The future of Rodrygo Goes at Real Madrid continues to attract speculation, with his status in the squad seemingly diminishing under both Carlo Ancelotti and new manager Xabi Alonso. Now, a new contender has emerged in the race for his signature — none other than Jose Mourinho, who reportedly wants the Brazilian at Fenerbahce.
Mourinho makes Rodrygo a priority
According to sources from Turkey, relayed by AS, Mourinho has specifically requested Fenerbahce to pursue a move for Rodrygo this summer. The report suggests that the Turkish giants are now exploring the feasibility of landing the 24-year-old forward, who is also attracting interest from Al-Nassr, Arsenal, and Manchester City.
Mourinho’s vision is clear: he sees Rodrygo as a game-changer who could bring creativity, pace, and goal threat to his Fenerbahce side. However, the method of acquisition — a loan deal — is likely to be a non-starter for Real Madrid.
Real Madrid’s stance is firm
Los Blancos value Rodrygo at around €100 million, not just for his talent but also due to the three years remaining on his current contract. A loan, especially without a significant obligation to buy, is not something the club is expected to entertain.
Internally, Real Madrid still regard Rodrygo as a key asset — but with the arrivals of Endrick and Kylian Mbappe, and the rise of Brahim Diaz, the pecking order has undeniably shifted.
Premier League more likely than Turkey
While Mourinho’s interest is genuine, a move to Fenerbahce looks improbable at this stage. If Rodrygo were to leave the Santiago Bernabéu, a transfer to the Premier League — where Arsenal and Manchester City are long-time admirers — seems more plausible.
As of now, though, there have been no formal offers for Rodrygo, and the player himself has not expressed a desire to leave the club. He remains committed and focused on fighting for his place as Real Madrid enter a new era under Xabi Alonso.
